Actually, it IS broken!

We had Declan back at the doctor's yesterday because after a week he still couldn't put any weight on his "sprained" foot. Our second opinion doctor revealed a fracture in the bone on top of his foot nearest his big toe. They didn't cast it, but gave him a walking cast/boot and told him to remain off it for at least another week before easing back any weight onto it. An unfortunate side effect is that Declan is now out of swimming for the rest of the season (though he is still hoping to try and swim championships in 3 1/2 weeks). It also side-lines him from our weekly ski lessons that the kids are taking this year... All in all, he's not a happy camper.


Our other update of sorts, is that IT IS STILL SNOWING IN ERIE! Ok, so this isn't really news in January, but it has been snowing continuously for the last 10 days and is forcasted to continue for the next 10 days. We have had record snow falls both this season to date and this month. It makes for horrible driving with the roads always covered and/or icy and random white outs due to winds off the lake. Spring can't come fast enough for me. Dan, of course, combats the weather be getting GE to send him to Jacksonville, FL for 4 days!! He's enjoying the sun and warm temps that we all wish we had! - J

BTW - Our family website is offline for those looking for it. We changed service providers (FINALLY got high speed internet!) and the site was shut down. It will be about a month before I can get a new one up and running.
