Of Trumpets and Lightning Fish ...

Friday night the kids gave their closing presentations for the ECHO co-op classes they have been taking. Declan took an Orchestra class and got to be a trumpet in his first public sing along! He was SO not thrilled, but got up on stage and did his part. Erin participated in a Tae Kwon Do demonstration (she got to punch another kid!) and the others had arts/crafts and materials on display. It all went really well and they are looking forward to their next 8 weeks of Co-op classes starting in January.

Erin noting her event numbers and heat numbers on her arm (a common swim practice)

Then on Saturday the kids had their first Invitational swim meet (11 teams) of the season. They all did fabulously besting all their previous times in 16 out of 17 events. Liam came away with a beautiful third place medal in his relay event and Declan got his first Trophy (a fifth place in 25 meter freestyle). The girls did super as well, Elise bested all her times in 5 seperate events and Erin is shaving off tenths of seconds (and sometimes whole seconds) and getting closer to the qualifiying times for Districts. - J

Greetings and Salutations!

I do so hope that the cast is not going to slow Erin down. I would love to see her competing in national swim events!
