A Blizzard, A Bunny and a Birthday

Easter came in 2 seperate flurries, a flurry of activity and a flurry of snow fall! Starting the Thursday before Easter, snow began to fall again here in Erie. The kids all thought that we were safe from the "S"-word since it was April already - but I knew better. It started snowing 2 days before Easter and continued (quite heavily at times) for 4 days. I'm stretching a bit to call it a blizzard, but after having a week of mid 60 degree sunny weather, it certainly FELT like a blizzard! The Easter bunny even had to modify his annual routine of hiding the eggs outside as it was snowing so heavily that they would have remained hidden for a full week! This year's hunt was conducted inside - which seemed to have made it more challenging as we are STILL missing 2 eggs (plastic ones thankfully). Needless to say, Easter dresses and strappy sandels were traded for slacks and longsleeve shirts.

In the days just before Easter, I am alternately proud and depressed to announce, I turned 40. Not as exciting as turning 21 but still a milestone of sorts. Of course Dan insisted on putting 40 candles on my cake and nearly burned the house down! Time marches on and with it comes new adventures! - J
